CBN.com — Eight-year-old Jayde fell in love with CBN's Superbook the very first time she saw it! She even asked her dad to buy her some episodes.
"And we ended up buying three Superbook [episodes]: "David and Goliath", "Creation", and "Let My People Go"," said Jayde.
She shared the new episodes with her cousins, and afterward had an idea.
"I asked my mom and dad if we can start a Bible study with Superbook with my friends," Jayde told CBN.
"I thought, 'Wow, maybe God wants to do something through her,'" added her dad Frank.
Frank gave his daughter only one condition for starting the group.
"I said that if she was going to start a group, then she wasn't allowed to gather kids from church; it had to be kids from her school or the community."
Jayde invited some kids from her school in Indonesia, and with help from her mom, got everything ready. Six girls came to the first meeting.
"Most of them don't know Jesus," said Jayde. "And they're mostly Islam, Buddhists, and Hindus."
Word began to spread at school, and soon a total of 17 girls started to come to watch more new episodes of Superbook.
"We watched "Daniel and the Lion's Den" and I asked them, 'How could Daniel stay alive in the lion's den? They answered, 'Because he has Jesus,'" Jayde reported.
"And I asked them if they want to have Jesus. They said, 'Yes.' So we prayed and they received Jesus."
Jayde's mom recorded video of the children on her phone, as many of the girls prayed to receive to become Christians during the meeting.
"Many of the kids come to Jayde's cell group who have now given their life to Jesus," said Frank. "And they are beginning to read the Bibles we gave them and are getting closer to God!"
"Superbook has got to be one of the greatest tools that has ever been provided for children's ministry to the body of Christ. For the first time, our children have a tool in their hands that they can use to effectively reach other children. What we realize through Jayde is that even an 8-year-old is able to start a group and allow God to work through her. God can use anybody who is willing to be a vessel for him," he said.
