Suresh Kumar: Free from Suffering

Suresh Kumar works as a tailor, but most of the money he earned paid for alcohol.
“My addiction gave me a false sense of peace,” Suresh says. “The more I drank, the more peace I felt within.”
But then Suresh developed severe stomach aches and started vomiting blood. He thought it had something to do with his drinking, but at the hospital he received a surprising diagnosis.
Doctor Subhashish Sen recalls, “It became clear that Suresh was suffering from tuberculosis.”
His health was getting worse. But Suresh had to go back to work so he could pay his medical bills. His boss, who happened to be a Christian, knew that Suresh needed help that only Jesus Christ could give.
His boss says, "At that very moment, I told Suresh about Jesus Christ. I even told him about CBN’s TV program so he could watch it and learn more about Jesus. Every morning, Suresh would come to the shop early so he could watch CBN, because he didn’t have a TV at home."
Suresh saved as much money as he could, not for medicine, not even for alcohol, but so he could buy his own TV and watch the CBN program at home.
"After seeing so many people being blessed and touched by the Lord Jesus Christ, I believed I could also experience a miracle in my life," Suresh says.
Suresh attended prayer meetings and soon gave his life to Jesus. He stopped drinking. Then, two months later, Suresh believed that Jesus had healed him! He asked his doctor to test him again.
Dr. Subhashish Sen says, "Everything was normal. There were no signs of tuberculosis in the report."
"I would like to thank CBN for helping me learn more about Jesus Christ," Suresh says. "Jesus Christ not only healed me, but also changed my whole outlook on life."
