CHINA OUTREACH
From Adversity to Victory

You can see in her eyes that 14 year old Pei Pei (pronounced
Pay-Pay) loves the people of her village in China and loves to
share with them about "the joy" of one who lives in her heart.
And that is what makes her story so remarkable.
Ever since Pei Pei was a baby, she has known hardship. Her biological
parents sold her to another family for $25. Later, her foster
father turned to alcohol. Unfortunately he would take out his
anger on Pei Pei and her mother.
Until recently, Pei Pei lived in a very small house with only one bed
for the family to sleep in. When the village began to gossip, a friend
offered to let her sleep at her house. It was there that she heard the
good news that changed her lifer forever.
Through it all, Pei Pei has become a brave young woman with big dreams.
And she knows in order to fulfill those dreams she has to finish school.
"Because I study hard, the teacher likes me very much," says
Pei Pei. "I love to learn and study. A lot of parents think there
is no need to study, because so many need to go out and work.
But I know I must go to school. I want to go to high school, maybe
even university."
So last year when Pei Pei learned that there was no money to
pursue the dream of finishing school, she was heartbroken. But
that didnt stop her with coming up with a plan.
"I decided I would work for a year as a salesman," remembers Pei Pei.
"I could make about $50 a month doing that and that would help pay for
my school fees."
But Pei Pei didnt know she was too young to get that kind of job.
That is where folks like you stepped in to help! When Operation Blessing
Beijing came to her village and learned of her plight, they provided
enough money for Pei Pei to go back to school for an entire year! When
she heard the news, she was overwhelmed.
"At this moment, I feel like love is all around me and that He really
loves me," shares Pei Pei. "Thank you Operation Blessing Beijing for
how you are caring for me."
And when the Operation Blessing team came, they brought a few extra
gifts that seem to have come at just the right time.
"My shoes are worn out!" says Pei Pei. "Now you brought me a pair of
shoes. I think that it is probably Gods arrangement!"
And why is Pei Pei so excited about this ongoing opportunity to learn?
Because in her village, she is the only one who understands the life-changing
message of the Living Word . And she knows that the more she learns,
the more she will be able to teach others about The One who is the light
of the world.
Says Pei Pei, "I want to help those who have never heard of Him
and to help them to know the only true one who gives light to
our hearts.
