The Power of a Thankful Heart

As we approach this Thanksgiving holiday, I want you to know how grateful I am for you. My prayer is that your life will overflow with thanksgiving and your days will be filled with joy in the Lord.
If we look at the events in our world today, you might say, There are troubles, discord, danger, and economic uncertainty—how can I be thankful?
The truth is, Jesus told us that we would have tribulation in this world, but we can take comfort in the fact that He has overcome the world and He will never leave us. Our lives are hidden in Him and He is with us at every step, forever!
Each day He has prepared blessings just for you. His desire is that we live our lives in childlike faith, looking for the special things He has prepared for our encouragement and delight, thanking Him in every situation.
This is the power of a thankful heart! It teaches us to remember that God is present with us always. As we give Him thanks we become more aware of His presence and goodness in our lives, which builds our faith—enabling us to believe God for greater things and see miracles happen.
You are a tremendous source of blessing and thanksgiving for millions of people around the world. Here at home, you are standing in the gap for hundreds of thousands of hungry Americans. Many who have prayed to God for help to feed their families are thanking the Lord because of you.
Through CBN you bring food, clean water, medical missions, and, most importantly, broadcast the Gospel to millions of people in desperate need each year.
This Thanksgiving, I would like you to join me in a Robertson family tradition that my father began many years ago. Dad thought it would be a good idea to take the same amount of money that our family was spending on our Thanksgiving dinner and give it to others so that they, too, could give thanks during this holiday. I’m asking you to give the amount you spend on your holiday meal as a special gift to help people around the world. You will bring life-changing aid to families, orphans, widows and others who are suffering today.
Let the thanksgiving in your heart be expressed through helping others this season.
Thank you for all you have done to end pain and anguish in our world. I pray you will experience the overwhelming joy of God’s presence and the eternal blessings He has created for you!
