CBN Philippines - We assisted 32,579 people in northern Mindinao in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Sendong. Disaster relief efforts included distribution of household items such as mats, blankets, soap and bottled water as well as medical services for those affected. Our staff also organized neighborhood clean-up efforts in Cagayan de Oro, a major city.

West Africa: Through our CBN centers last month, 45,994 people heard the gospel in 81 evangelistic outreaches with 6,314 praying to receive Jesus as their Savior.
The prayer center in Nigeria responded to 13,225 calls and received 277 emails/letters and 3,388 text messages. As a result, 99 people prayed to accept Christ.
CBN staff drilled fresh water wells in 25 rural communities in Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia benefitting 24,260 people. 422 prayed to receive salvation.
East and Southern Africa:120 video evangelism events were held in all 9 provinces in South Africa. 14,759 people attended and 8,840 made decisions for Christ.

CBN’s Operation Blessing International (OBI) staff met with 350 farmers in Kenya. They distributed dry maize for them to eat and seedlings to plant. Also, a water tank was provided.
French Africa:45 Christian leaders celebrated CBN’s 50 years of life-transforming ministry around the world with our staff.
A foundation was laid for a renewed strategic partnership with churches in Senegal to advance the Kingdom of God in this nation.
12,694 people contacted the media ministry centers among our 18 countries in French Africa. Of these, 1,626 committed their lives to Jesus.
17,300 people attended evangelism events in Burkina Faso and 1,230 attended prayer meetings. As a result, 1,302 gave their lives to Christ.

CBN Hong Kong was invited to offer training to the congregations of all of the Three Self Churches in Guangdong province. We began a year ago with the Union Church. In October a toll-free counseling hotline was launched. After receiving official blessing from the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the church promoted the service more widely.
15 cleft lip/palate surgeries were completed along with 4 heart surgeries.
500 winter school uniforms were distributed to students in Guizhou.
Mongolia: CBN’s Orphan’s Promise (OP) is caring for 25 orphans at the Gerel Orphanage, including abandoned and special needs children. This month, the provision of food was increased to help nourish the kids so they will have better growth.

12-year-old Du Yu is an orphan who attends primary school in Shi Ban Ho. There are 400 students and some of them must walk for hours to attend the only school in this remote village. CBN staff members walk 3 hours each week to teach English classes. CBN is not only offering a better education for the children but we are showing how much we care about them.

16,742 benefited from 60 fresh water bore-wells drilled. As a result, 85 people came to Christ.
28,743 patients were given medical care through 98 outreaches, 147 received cataract surgeries, 856 were given eyeglasses, 15 wheelchairs were distributed, 6,698 people received anti-parasite medicine and 2,261 HIV patients were provided medicine and ministry. During these outreaches, 298 made the decision to follow Jesus.
OP sponsors 12 centers that provide education and mentoring for 1,260 at-risk children which enables them to attend school.

During the past month across the region, 55,097 people benefited from humanitarian aid and 1,050 from ministry-related outreaches. Also, 3,624 calls were answered. Through all these efforts, 1,506 committed their lives to Christ.
Caribbean Islands - CBC Channel 8 is now airing Turning Point in Barbados.
Ecuador - CBN partnered with a local church in Quevedo for their annual Christmas outreach. This is the eleventh year the event for families was organized. It was held in the city’s stadium where over 10,300 people attended. The highlight was a musical theater adaptation of CBN’s Spanish children’s TV show Agua Viva (Living Water), which teaches the true meaning of Christmas and Jesus’ mission on earth. Evangelistic tracts were handed out in the thousands. Buses brought kids from the most impoverished areas. About 5,000 children, youth and adults accepted Christ as their Savior.
El Salvador - Following a tropical storm, OBI provided people with hygiene kits that included soap, shampoo, tooth paste, and tooth brushes.
OBI teams shared advice with farmers about papaya production and budgeting.
Honduras - Following a fire at the New Hope Home for children, OBI donated cradles, clothing, toys and a picnic table.
Jamaica - The Homestead Child Care facility was added to the five homes OP supports.
Mexico - Multimedios began airing Vida Dura on Channel 9, reaching an audience of 1.5 million.
OBI donated and installed a water unit in a community of 8,000 people affected by Hurricane Jova.
Nicaragua - Canyon orphanage reported that every child passed their grade in school. This is the first time the kids have succeeded in this task. OP was thanked for providing support for the proper nutrition that helped allow these results.
Peru - OBI distributed 2,250 pairs of TOM’s shoes to needy children.
Pacifico TV is now broadcasting Club 700 Hoy, Mundo Cristiano and One Cubed. The station airs in Lima through cable TV and the internet to a potential audience of 2.5 million.

The annual “Holiday of Hope and Cheers” program brings toys and the love of Christ to children in impoverished neighborhoods.
This year 9,627 kids were given Christmas presents. Toy distribution events included songs, games, Christian children’s videos and Bible stories. CBN staff and volunteers shared the gospel with the youngsters. 5,553 received Jesus into their heart.
The prayer center handled 7,225 calls, 151,160 text messages, 948 letters/emails and 1,615 online chats. These responses resulted in 11,021 decisions for Christ. Additionally, 1,473 new believers were referred to local churches.
2,869 children attended Kids Camp. 2,014 asked Jesus into their hearts.
6,746 people received care at medical clinics resulting in 1,872 salvations. Also, 42 wheelchairs were donated.
Discipleship training was conducted for 108 pastors and 167 lay workers from 81 churches.
Books were distributed to public schools and a day care center that benefited 1,250 children.

Myanmar - 20 wells were drilled that provide 4,540 beneficiaries with clean water.
Thailand - In Thailand, where child sexual abuse is a major concern, we are making a difference. Sponsored by OP, the first educational initiative called “3-3-5” was attended by children and parents. Kids learned how to protect themselves and their friends from sexual abuse. They were taught 3 important things about themselves; 3 things they should do if they feel unsafe; and 5 things a friend can do when a child is abused. In 2012, we will join with ministry partners to bring this training to an estimated 10,000 youngsters.
CBN Siam participated in the Global Day of Worship. 70% of the 760 who attended were young people. The event was streamed on the internet.
