Ross and Deb Cohen enjoy a quiet life in a pleasant Georgia town. Deb is an artist and loves working with her hands, especially creating sculptures of Christ. But years ago her hobby was in serious jeopardy when Deb developed unexplained pain in her hands.
“It hurt to pick up a coffee cup, to brush my teeth,” she tells The 700 Club. “A lot of times, I would have to use two hands to brush my teeth.”
At the time, she worked as a hairdresser. The pain became so unbearable she hardly work.
“It never went away. It was day-in and day-out pain in my hands. I would even have to put the shampoo bottle up under my arm to squeeze the shampoo out.”
Deb was a Christian. She began praying every day for God to take away the pain and to heal her hands.
“My prayer was, ‘Lord, if You will heal my hands, I will take my artistic ability and I will use it to honor You.’”
One Sunday, Deb’s pastor asked for those who needed healing to come forward for prayer. Deb headed to the altar.
“This warmth came over me -- something like warm honey over my head. When I realized my hands were healed, I jumped for joy. I laughed. I cried. I praised the Lord for so long, I lost track of time,” Deb recalls. “It was amazing, simply amazing that the pain was gone.”
Deb kept her promise to God and began creating the sculptures that she sells today. She’s completely grateful that God healed her hands.
“They are totally pain free! Praise the Lord!”
