Christian Artists Nominated for AMAs

CBN.com – For three years, online votes have determined who wins at the American Music Awards. This year, fans can pick between Brandon Heath, Jeremy Camp, and Mary Mary for Favorite Artist in the Contemporary Inspirational category.
It’s been a great year for each of these Christian artists. Brandon Heath scored three GRAMMY noms, three Dove Awards, and No. 1 songs hit the charts off his sophomore album, What If We. Heath who has celebrated this year with these and many more accomplishments was still surprised at his nomination.
“I’ve been watching the AMA’s for years -- never thought I’d have the honor of being a nominee. I consider myself very blessed to do music for a living,” Heath says, according to Provident Label Group.
Christian powerhouse Jeremy Camp recently earned RIAA Multi-Platinum Certification of his long-form video and worship project Live Unplugged. This is his second American Music Award nomination.
Mary Mary continues to hold a strong presence in the Christian and mainstream music industries. The Gospel duo recently made history! Their single, "God In Me," set a new Billboard record for longest climb to the top 10 after 42 weeks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
The live AMA broadcast is set to take place at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles, on Sunday, November 22 (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
