Brandon Heath, Chris Tomlin Tie with Three Grammy Noms

By Hannah Goodwyn Senior Producer
Brandon Heath and Chris Tomlin, two of Christian music’s biggest acts, heard their names called three times each during Wednesday night’s Grammy Nominations Concert. The prestigious award recognizes the best in Christian music with five Gospel categories (View a full list of the Christian artists nominated).

Singer/songwriter Brandon Heath is up for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance and Best Contemporary Christian Music Song for “Your Love”, the hit single from his latest album, Leaving Eden. That record garnered his third nomination for the year in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album category.

This February, Chris Tomlin will be up against Heath in the same three categories. The internationally known worship leader was nominated for “I Lift My Hand” (Best Gospel/CCM Performance and Best Contemporary Christian Music Song) off his And If Our God Is For Us… (Best Contemporary Christian Music Album).

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
