CBN.com Anita Steenkamp of Johannesburg, South Africa, was enjoying her birthday at the beach with her grandchildren. While they were fishing Anita slipped and fell on a rock.
“Apparently I turned around to go down the rocks and my feet slipped from under me,” she recalls. “I fell backwards on my head and split my head open. Bleed profusely. The hand of God was in it because everybody thought I was dead. It was a bad accident. They took me through to hospital where they put 27 stitches in my head, sewed me and did all sorts of tests.”
Anita healed from the cut on her head but over the next two years, complications developed. Anita says she felt “confused.”
“I remember going to the shopping center which I know very well. One day I just stood in the middle of the shopping center and didn’t know where I was. I was so confused. I actually went out, and I couldn’t find my car. I was so confused. And I realized that I had something wrong with me.”
Anita prayed for healing during that two-year period, and she watched The 700 Club.
“I took my two fingers and put it on my head. I don’t know why and then at that moment, Terry [Meeuwsen] said, ‘There’s a lady [you’ve had a blow to your head. She has on the right side of her head, and it is causing a lot of confusion. God is healing that now.’
“I just knew. I praised God, and I said, ‘Thank you Lord. That’s for me.’
“I went to my calendar, and I wrote that down. From that day on I could drive. I had no confusion. My confusion was all gone, and a week afterwards I realized this pressure that I had in my head had also gone.
“Jesus died for us on the cross for that, and He took all of our iniquities. He took. He’s our healer. We must just believe and receive what He has for us.”
