Tekoya Hester: To Dance Again

By Gorman Woodfin
The 700 Club

CBN.com Twenty-one year old Tekoya Hester loved to dance and exercise, but a car accident robbed her of her active lifestyle.

“The pain was in my elbow and in my shoulder” Tekoya says. “It hurt every time I picked up a glass or anything. It felt bruised when I touched it, but when I picked up something it felt like I was weighted down.

"It was actually a stabbing pain in my arm. I couldn’t dance. I couldn’t bend down.”

One day Tekoya watched The 700 Club as she lay on the floor to ease her back pain.

“That was when Pat and Kristi were talking,” she says. “They mentioned somebody who had been in a really bad car accident and had really bad pain. I felt the heat come from my arm, and I just started crying because I knew that it was for me.

“I jumped up screaming and ran down the stairs. I yelled for my mom. She said, ‘What’s wrong?’  I couldn’t even talk, I was crying so hard. I said, ‘Mom, I’m healed.’  That’s all I could say.

“I’ve seen it happen to other people but not to me, so that really made me believe,” Tekoya says.  I can do everything now. I haven’t felt any pain since that day.”
